Any Indian citizen who owns a residential property with a valid domestic electricity connection in their name, has not previously claimed a solar subsidy, and has adequate shadow-free rooftop space is eligible. The property must be in a state/UT covered by the scheme — Punjab, Chandigarh and J&K are all covered.
The maximum central subsidy is ₹78,000 for systems of 3 kW and above. For 1 kW it's ₹30,000, for 2 kW it's ₹60,000, and for 3 kW+ it's capped at ₹78,000. The subsidy is credited directly to your bank account after installation and DISCOM inspection.
From portal registration to subsidy credit typically takes 45–90 days: DISCOM approval (5–7 days) + installation (7–14 days) + inspection and net meter (7–15 days) + subsidy processing (15–30 days). Vermson Energy actively monitors and follows up at every stage to minimise delays.
No — PM Surya Ghar requires the applicant to own the property. Renters or tenants are not eligible. The electricity connection must also be in the property owner's name. If you rent your property to tenants, you as the owner can still apply and claim the subsidy.
Yes — only DCR-compliant panels made in India are eligible for the PM Surya Ghar subsidy. TATA, Adani and Waaree panels installed by Vermson Energy are all DCR-certified and subsidy-eligible. We never install non-DCR panels on subsidised projects.
Yes — PM Surya Ghar includes a collateral-free solar loan scheme through nationalised banks at subsidised interest rates. Vermson Energy can refer you to bank partners for easy EMI options, typically ₹2,000–₹5,000/month for a 5 kW system after subsidy.
