One rooftop. The whole society's bills cut in half.

Community solar puts a single large solar plant on your society, hospital or campus rooftop — and splits the generation (and savings) across every flat, ward or block via virtual net metering. No personal rooftop required.

  • Hotels & Resort Properties
  • Multi-tenant Commercial
  • Parking-shed Installations
  • Gated Colonies
Individual vs Community

Why one shared plant beats 80 separate rooftops.

Each flat installs its own solar

  • 80 separate negotiations & installs
  • Top-floor flats own the roof, others don't
  • Higher per-kW cost (no scale)
  • 80 separate AMCs to manage
  • Roof structure rarely supports it
Community

One shared plant for the whole society

  • One install. Every flat gets the credit.
  • Virtual net metering — credits split by share
  • 15–25% lower per-kW cost at scale
  • Single AMC. Society manages once.
  • Engineered for the actual society roof

How it works

From first society meeting to first split bill — 60–90 days.

  1. 01

Society demo & feasibility Day 1–10

We present at your RWA / governing body meeting, walk the rooftop, run a feasibility study and share a transparent per-flat savings projection.

  2. 02

Member resolution & design Day 10–25

We help draft the AGM resolution, finalise plant size based on member opt-in, and lock the fixed-price proposal with each flat's share.

  3. 03

Subsidy & DISCOM filing Day 25–45

We file the group / virtual net-metering application, PM Surya Ghar subsidy claim, and structural-load certification — all in parallel.

  4. 04

    Installation Day 45–80

Crew installs panels, mounting, inverter and metering. Most 100 kW society plants commission in 25–35 working days with zero disruption to residents.

  5. 05

Live splitting & ongoing AMC Day 80–90+

DISCOM meter swap. Per-flat credits start showing in monthly bills. Society gets a dashboard for total generation, per-flat share and AMC schedule.

Why Vermson

We've spoken to enough RWAs to know what derails community solar.

Society liaison built-in

We attend your meetings, answer member objections, and help structure the resolution — so the project doesn't stall at the AGM stage.

Transparent unit-level split

Every flat sees its own share of generation and savings on a live dashboard. No "who's getting more credit" disputes — it's all visible.

Multi-block engineering

We've designed for irregular roofs, partial shade across towers, water-tank obstructions and society parking sheds. Real societies — not theory.

FAQ

The questions every RWA asks before going community solar

Answers to the questions we hear most. Have a different one? Drop us a message and we'll write you back.

Virtual net metering credits the generated units to each participating flat in proportion to their share — usually based on capital contribution or per-flat allocation set in the AGM resolution. Each flat sees the credit directly on their DISCOM bill, not via a society pooled account.
Totally fine — community solar works even with partial participation. The plant is sized to the participating share, only those members contribute to the cost, and only they receive the credits. Non-participants pay their regular DISCOM bill as before.
Yes. Parking-shed solar (solar canopy) is one of the best options when rooftop space is limited or already taken by water tanks. We design dual-purpose structures that shade vehicles and generate power. Society walls and unused open areas can also host ground-mounted plants.
Both models work. Society-owned: RWA pays from corpus / loan, savings go into society's common-area billing reduction. Member-owned: participating flats co-fund the plant and each gets credits proportional to their share. We help your AGM decide which structure works best.
The solar share transfers with the flat by default — new owners inherit both the credit and any pending capital instalments. We set this up in the AGM resolution so there's no ambiguity later. New residents can also opt-in mid-project; we re-balance the plant share at the next adjustment cycle.
Year 1 AMC is included in the install price. From year 2 onwards, the society pays a flat annual AMC (typically ₹400–600/kW) from the common pool — funded entirely by the savings the plant generates. AMC plans cover quarterly cleaning, performance monitoring and on-call service. We have 10-year AMC contracts available at a discount.
